Ghana 4 - 2 Tunisia; Black Stars Rally Back To Beat Carthage Eagles

Ghana rallied from two goals down to beat Tunisia 4-2 in a friendly in Abu Dhabi on Sunday night. Two goals from striker Issam Jemma helped the Carthage Eagles to take a two goal lead at the Zayed Sports Complex. Albert Adomah's debut goal for the Black Stars wrapped up Ghana's second half comeback with John Boye, Mubarak Wakaso and captain Asamoah Gyan all on target in the game played behind closed doors. The Ghanaian defenders hesitated in the 16th minute following a foul in midfield allowing Jemaa to fire past Adam Kwarasey. The Kuwait-based striker doubled the lead just after the break when he pounced on a ball which Kwarasey spilled on the second attempt. The Black Stars showed their fighting spirit with four goals within 25 minutes to seal their second friendly victory during their training tour of the UAE. John Boye headed in Mubarak Wakaso's freekick in the 56th minute to restore some hope of the four-time African champions. Wakaso converted a penalty six minutes later after Christian Atsu was brought down in the box to restore parity for the Black Stars. Asamoah Gyan connected Albert Adomahs cross from the right to make it 3-2 following a counter-attack. Gyan turned the provider moments later after outwitting two defenders allowing the Bristol City winger Adomah to fire past the Tunisian goalkeeper with four minutes remaining. The Black Stars will now turn their attention of playing at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations with their first match against DR Congo next week.
