Ghana-Cape Verde Match Will Be Like Brazil And Argentina - MP

Hon. Aquinas Quansah, MP for Mfantsiman West has described the upcoming match between Ghana and Cape Verde as a match between Brazil and Argentina. He says Ghana Black Stars should not take the Cape Verdeans for granted because they have proven to be a force to reckon with. On Monday, the Stars shot their way into the Quarter Final stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa by beating Niger three goals to nil. The Black Stars will be playing the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde on Saturday at the Nelson Mandela stadium, a match anticipated to be a tough one. Speaking on Metro TVs Good Morning Ghana on Tuesday, Hon. Aquinas congratulated the Stars for making the black star shine so brightly in the match between them and Niger. However, he says they should not be complacent but forge ahead till they bring the cup home. All we need is to stay focused as a team and take every team like they are playing against Brazil or any bigger football nation. If you look at the tactical play of Cape Verde, you will realize that they have individual skill; very skillful players and so if we joke, they might take us unawares. But I believe the players know why they are there. For the first time in 31 years, I believe this cup is coming home he added.
