President John Mahama is predicting a semi final qualification for the Black Stars in the ongoing African Nations Cup in South Africa, even before the team plays their quarter final game against Cape Verde. Speaking to journalists with about 10 minutes to go in the game between the Black Stars and their Nigerien counterparts, Mr. Mahama who is attending the 20th Ordinary Session of the AU Heads of State in Addis Abba, Ethiopia, said the Stars who were three goals up, will "quickly dispatch Cape Verde and qualify for the semi finals". President Mahama who is expected home later on Tuesday, said he is confident the Black Stars will do better in this year's tournament than the previous ones.
