UT Group holds special thanksgiving service for successful 2012

The Management and staff of UT Group on Sunday held a special thanksgiving service for successful 2012 and to seek Gods guidance as well as direction for 2013. The occasion, which attracted staff of the various departments and subsidiaries, also saw some employees of the UT Group being honoured for their dedication and contributions to the success and good performance of the company. Speaking at the Service, Reverend Dr Peter Ohene Kyei, Rector Pentecost University, said it was gratifying to note that the company took the day to recognise Gods role in its achievements. He said it was necessary to praise God for its unfailing blessings and urged the UT Group management not to limit its horizon but to broaden the scope and expand to other parts of the world. Rev Kyei said while it was easy to be self-focused and attribute every success in life to ones own ability and intellect, UT Group must continue to make God the centre of their strength and pray daily to the maker for the growth of the businesses. He urged the management to recognize that there was power in praise and thanksgiving as it helped to bring Gods presence closer in all times. Chief Executive Officer, UT Group, Kofi Amoabeng urged the staff to see the performance of their duties as service to humanity and be dedicated to the task. Long service awards were given to staff who had served UT Group for 10 and 15 years. They received plaques and cash awards. There was also recognition of employee of the year from the different subsidiaries of the Group. The overall best employee award of the year went to Nasiru Adamu Yirwor of UT Holdings. He received a cheque for $10,000 dollars and an airline ticket for a destination of his choice.
