We Are Wining All Our Games To Qualify To The World Cup - Kwesi Appiah

Head coach of the Black Stars Kwesi Appiah has said that despite Zambias lead in Group D with just a single point ahead of the Stars, Ghana will do whatever it takes to win all it games to represent the continent ones again in Brazil 2014. The senior national team last Sunday trashed the desert hawks of Sudan by four goals to nil. A score line which is surprising to many soccer fans due to the Stars inability to win the last AFCON in South Africa. According to the soft spoken Kwesi Appiah, the new call ups boosted the morale of the players and the team adhered to his instructions and game plan. We got different players at the moment and they were tactically discipline. Even though we needed the goals but they (the players) were not rushing for it and that is the most important thing. I believe that, tactically the boys did well and that is why we got this result, he said after the game. With Group D leaders, Zambia dropping points in their 1-1 draw with Lesotho, an hour before Ghana kicked off at the Baba Yara Stadium, the risks were high as the result handed either Ghana and Sudan an opportunity to close the gap at the top but Kwesi Appiah believes the only way the Stars could be at the world stage is to win all it remaining matches. I have always said that it doesnt matter whether Zambia is leading the group or not, the most important thing is to win all our matches and that is what we (Black Stars) are doing now, he said. The Black Stars will now play Sudan and Lesotho away in June before holding on to Zambia in the last Group D fixtures.
