Some Media Houses Can Deliberately Twist The Supreme Court Rulings To Favour Their Party

A member of the governments communications team and Secretary for Ablekuma North constituency, Mohammed Sukah, has appealed to the highest court of the land to ensure media houses are equipped with the requisite skills on how to report outcomes of the NPPs petition challenging the legitimacy of President Mahama. Mohammed Sukah was of a firm opinion that some media houses affiliated to the two major political parties in court can deliberately twist facts in their write ups and cause an upheaval in Ghana. In an interview with Okay FM, Mr. Sukah cited the Daily Guide newspaper and the Crystal Clear Lens as examples of the print media that could ignite turmoil if not cautioned on how to report court proceedings. He explained further that most of the newspapers had a personal interest in the case and wouldnt mind sacrificing their time to forge stories from an angle which would favour their political party. He called on the Supreme Court to set up a team to frequently check publications after the judges sitting on the case have expressed concerns or made suggestions in order to police our media houses and bar them from courting trouble for the country.
