Chief Executive Officer of Hansol,(a licensed small scale mining company), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has accused the Ghana Immigration Service and the Police Service of burglarizing 9 kilos of gold belonging to his mining company. The alleged theft occurred during a recent incursion which saw the arrest of illegal Chinese miners. According to the CEO of Hansol, the security machinists from the Immigration and Police Services have stolen 9 kilos of gold, two pickup trucks and thousands of dollars during a recent raid at the company�s gold mining concession in the Ashanti region which he believes was masterminded by one General Misho. �They (the Immigration and Police service) stole 9 kilos of gold from me. There is evidence and I can prove to that. They claim one General Misho ordered them to raid my company. General Misho now wants to accuse me of illegal mining but he has no prove because I am a legal businessman in this country. I have all my documents which allow me to operate. He (General Misho) can never destroy my work,� he said. He further explained that �I always have a safe place where I keep my gold after work. On the said day they (the Immigration and Police) invaded my company; they arrested my driver and ordered him not to move. I have video footage of all this and willing to show it on national television if they want to challenge me so Ghanaians will see it. I will never give up and will use all ways and means to stop this bad behavior displayed by the national security.� ��I have evidence and prove they destroyed the box which contains the gold and after stealing it, they set the place ablaze,� he said. Speaking on Adom FM, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako threatened to sue both the immigration and the police service for their unlawful act which as cost him a whopping sum of money. �I am with my lawyers and within the shortest time, they (the Immigration and Police) will appear before court. One gold cost me fifty four thousand dollars ($54.000) so multiply by nine, that is a lot of money. ��I will expose them in court because they did not know I was having closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera in my office,� he said.
