PPP Communicator: Nana Addo Would Be President Of Ghana By August

A member of the Progressive Peoples Party, Charles Owusu has optimistically predicted that before the month of August fades away in 2013, Nana Akufo-Addo would be sworn in as president elect of the Republic of Ghana by the Supreme Court. In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, the PPP communicator noted that after studying the trend of events that has transpired at the Supreme Court, he could comfortably state that the NDC and the Electoral Commission of Ghana had connived with an intention to waste time in other to unlawfully remain in power. He congratulated the Supreme Court for throwing out a request by the Electoral Commission (EC), the second respondent in the presidential election petition, to vary its orders in a petition challenging the legitimacy of President John Dramani Mahama. Give Afari Gyan and the NDC 200 years and they wouldnt be able to give any sensible response to the NPPs petition, he declared. Everything testifies that Nana Addo, Dr. Bawumia and Jake Obetsebi Lamptey had a good case to be interrogated by the court. Honestly speaking, if someone really has a case and knows he is as clean as a whistle, he would even encourage the court to speed up the process and end the case quickly if he has been accused by another person. But what do we see? It looks like the NDC is using a delay tactics to stall the court process in order to unlawfully stay in power, he said.
