A Policy Analyst of the People�s National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed has said that the response of Dr. Bawumia has put the counsel for the first respondent, Tony Lithur in an uncomfortable situation. He said that as a novice of the law, there was no establishment in Tony Lithur�s cross examination which could discredit the value of evidence before the Supreme Court, as the counsel only repeatedly insisted on some figures in other for Dr. Bawumia to admit them to enrich his case. Speaking on Okay FM, Atik Mohammed said that Dr. Bawumia deserves some commendation because in his estimation, he (Dr. Bawumia) has demonstrated to Ghanaians and the world that he is worth every investment Nana Akufo-Addo made in him; in that the decision to pick him for the running mate for the 2012 election. He added that Dr. Bawumia has justified the reason why Nana Addo chose him among many other qualified candidates; stressing that his conduct in the Supreme Court is exciting because he speaks and admits the truth as Tony Lithur cross examined him in the witness box. The PNC policy analyst expressed that the counsel for the first respondent was relying on deleted data in the evidence before the Supreme Court to make his argument ; adding that Tony Lithur was wasting time with that data to make his case. He further said that the court should not have allowed the lawyer to use the data the witness was not sure was part of the case before the Supreme Court. He however said that the case before the Supreme Court is to unravel the truth to Ghanaians as such the Supreme Court should have allowed Dr. Bawumia to use the power point presentation to make his presentation clear.
