The Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service (GHS), is to decentralise medical care. In view of this, some polyclinics within the Metropolis will be upgraded into hospitals and resourced with modern facilities. This will ensure that there is equal access to health care. To start with, the Minister of Health, and some officials from the Ghana Health Service yesterday visited some Polyclinics in Accra to know at first hand their challenges and how they can be addressed. The Minister, Sherry Aryittey said government is committed to providing equal access to health care.
