Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has accused the top hierarchy of the main opposition NPP of colluding with elements within the governing party to hang and destroy him. Mr. Woyome, who is battling the state in court over allegations of fraud regarding 51 million Ghana cedis paid to him as judgment debt, told journalists at a news conference on Friday, May 10, 2013 that his detractors within the two main parties are hell bent of painting him black and destroying his reputation despite his patriotism to the country. The news conference was necessitated by Friday�s Daily Graphic report which said the Court of Appeal on Thursday upheld the decision of the Commercial Court to allow the state to introduce evidence of fraud in the payment of GH�51.2 million to Mr Woyome. Mr. Woyome stated that the report misconstrued the essence of the appeal and expressed suspicions that element in the two main parties are working to together to twist the facts against him. �When it comes to Woyome issues then the NDC and NPP are meeting and strategizing, how much have they paid the media? Ghanaians would want to know...some of the media�. "What kind of demons have possessed people in this country that they don�t want their own colleague to help in building this country far ahead why?" Mr. Woyome queried.
