Miracles Are Meant To Follow Christians; Not The Other Way Round - Dr. Opoku-Onyinah

The Chairman of the Church of Pentecost (COP), Apostle Dr. Opoku-Onyinah, has reproached Christians with shallow faith in Christ; who are always quick to avail themselves to men of God known noted for mesmerizing their audience with signs and wonders. His comment comes on the heels of the stampede which occurred last Sunday at the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) at Spintex. Four believers met their untimely death last Sunday when the unfortunate incident happened. The stampede happened when the huge congregation at the Church rushed for 'holy water' blessed by Prophet T. B Joshua. The man of God, Prophet TB Joshua, had earlier announced the distribution of holy water during a Sunday service on the churchs worldwide station, Emmanuel TV. Thousands of people reportedly started arriving at the church premises from 8pm Saturday night and before the service could start on Sunday, there was a stampede due to the huge number at the venue. But speaking on Okay FM, Dr. Opoku-Onyinah, reproached Christians who were only in the fraternity because of miracles. He admonished them not to be solely enthused about miracles when it was basically the Holy Spirit every Christian should yearn for. He mentioned that as Christians, miracles should follow us, we shouldnt follow miracles. Citing references from the Holy Book to strengthen his argument, Dr. Opoku-Onyinah brought to fore that it was only in Luke that one gets to know that Jesus Christ anointed oil and used it for a miracle. Aside that, he noted, the the author and finisher of our faith never took to anointing things before He could continue with the will of God. God can touch someone and make him heal people with water but it isnt often the case...It is better to listen to the word of God and do His works rather than run after miracles, he advised.
