President Mahama Encourages Private Sector In Japan To Assist Ghana

President John Mahama has encouraged the Private Sector in Japan to explore the many sectors in Ghana that require assistance.He noted, that just as the Telecom Sector has seen a boost as a result of Public Private Partnerships, same can be done for other sectors like Tourism, Transport and waste management. President Mahama said his government has a vision to facilitate the work of the Private Sector to drive development in the country. He said Ghana currently has a Private Sector Investment Council chaired by him to fast track processes regarding viable partnerships. He was speaking with the business community at a Private Sector dialogue on the sidelines of the ongoing 5th TICAD Summit in Yokohama, Japan. President Mahama, also asked the Private Sector to consider the nascent oil and gas sector. He said already a number of international organizations have shown interest in the oil sector including Japan.
