Ghana Ports And Habours Authority Institute Steps To Facilitate Trade

The Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Habours Authority, Paul Asare Ansah says the port authorities have instituted pragmatic steps to facilitate trade in the port. Speaking to Radio Gold, he outlined some duties of the personnel at the port, saying they are mandated to help importers and exporters in their operations. Serving as an interface of every nation�s maritime trade, Mr. Asare Ansah assured importers and exporters of the authorities� commitment to smoothly coordinate their activities in order to get rid of any complications at the port. �We make sure that we have the right equipment; the right fleet of equipment to undertake both loading and discharging activities in the port. We make sure that the processes are fluid�We make sure that we have the right capacity in terms of our port infrastructure. We have the right capacity that can accommodate the volume of trade that we have as a country. �We as a port are so much interested in trade facilitation. Because when trade flows smoothly, then our job also becomes efficient.� he said.
