National Women's Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De Soso has asked for forgiveness of sins from God to the perceived saboteurs setting major markets in the metropolis ablaze. A clearly flustered Anita De Soso sought to find out why these alleged arsonists embark on their dastardly act only when the NDC is in power and traced their activities from Ex-President Rawlings� era through to that of the late Prof. Mills to current President Mahama�s regime. �What sin has the NDC committed? In Rawlings PNDC era, they burned people�s farms and gave Rawlings a name; �Rawlings chain� because there was scarcity of food. This even led to some citizens relocating to Nigeria. President Mills also faced similar misfortunes and upon that equipped the Ghana National Fire Service with modern gadgets to fight fires�It�s on record that the NDC is the only party to have fully equipped all Fire Service centres/post across the country� ��Again, just look at what is going on under President Mahama�s administration, we are not even in the Harmattan season�we are in the rainy season and there is fire all over the place,� she lamented. Speaking on Accra-based Adom FM, the NDC National Women�s Organiser also slated the National Security apparatus for failing to get to the bottom of the fire outbreaks even after the NPP blamed �mouse feeding on electrical cables� in the markets as the cause of the fires. �If someone can stand on a platform and publicly say, let�s attack with bombs and weapons to show seriousness and the National Security couldn�t monitor that, then there is a problem. Now the NPP are blaming mouse for the fire outbreaks. How did they (NPP) know mice are responsible for the fire out breaks? So do the mice feed from Makola to Kantamanto and Kumasi to set the place on fire?� she questioned Madam Anita De Sooso however commiserated with traders who were victims of the fire disaster. �What hurts me most is that, most affected victims are women. If someone is behind these fire outbreaks, may the Almighty God have mercy on that person and may He forgive the person but if there are no arsonists, then God should forgive us Ghanaians and the nation because people are suffering,� she said.
