Arrest NDC Chair And Interrogate Him - Kabila

James Kwabena Bomfeh, the National Youth Organizer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), has also added his voice to the call on security agencies to arrest the National Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Kwabena Adjei, for his comments a couple of days ago. The NDC National Chairman during his visit to the Makola No. 2 market after it was gutted by fire, told an Accra-based television network, United Television (Utv), that he suspects foul play in the act. He accused some elements in the opposition New Patriotic Party of masterminding the fire outbreaks with the intent of running down the incumbent government and so warned them together with the supposed arsons not to destroy the nation with the hope of seeking asylum outside the country. In a sharp riposte to the NDC National Chairs comments, the General Secretary of the Peoples National Convention, Bernard Mornah urged the security agencies to arrest him for making a definite assertion. If the National Chairman is definite in his pronouncement that this is done by the NPP, he should be picked up, Mr. Mornah told Radio XYZ. He held that Dr. Kwabena Adjei should be interrogated about the source of his information in order to assist the security agencies in their investigations. In other jurisdictions you will not wait. [Is it] because he is the National Chairman of a political party? He is giving you leading information that could lead to the arrest of the dangers that our nation is facing. What are we waiting for? Politics again? Im worried that all the time, we make these pronouncements and walk away, because its easy these days to just get up [and talk], everybody talks, he exclaimed. Speaking on Peace FM on Monday, the CPP activist also called for the arrest of Dr. Kwabena Adjei because he is not above the laws of GhanaArrest him and interrogate him to find out the truth.
