Kofi Jumah Affirms Friendship With Sohin Security Boss: He Likes Shady Deals

A former Asokwa MP on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has affirmed his friendship with Solomon Adelaquaye and to him he is not surprised he has been caught by the US anti drug agency. According to the former Kumasi mayor, through their conversations and relations he noticed that the Sohin Security Service boss liked shady deals. In his assessment of Solomon Adelaquaye, he said that he talks a lot and could not hide some of the leaders in the NDC that he has dealings with; adding that he admitted that he is a member of the ruling NDC government, showing some pictures of him to consolidate his membership of the ruling party. In an interview with Okay FM, he said that with the way Solomon Adelaquaye opens up easily to people and knowing how the Americans operate to fish out information; the former KMA boss said that some leaders he (Solomon Adelaquaye) has dealings with cannot go to the United States. He said that it is appalling to hear the National Security saying that they are not aware of Solomon Adelaquayes drug dealings; insisting that the officers and the leaders are lying to Ghanaians. He further enlightened that the establishment of a Security company in Ghana goes through a lot of stress because the National Security will check for criminal records before a certificate will be given to the deserving company to start operations after that security company has registered at the Registrar Generals Department. According to him the certificate given will permit the security company to operate as corporate bodies; adding that it takes extreme assurance from the National Security before any security service can operate at the Kotoka International Airport. He however said that it is understandable if the National Security disassociate itself from his dealings than to deny knowledge of him because there are proves that Solomon Adelaquaye knows some of the National Security heads in the country. He concluded that the man who the NDC and some National Security leaders are denying helped in printing 2012 campaign shirt for some of the NDC candidates which is a fact that the NDC cannot deny.
