Sir John Tells Gbevlo Lartey: It Cannot Be True That You Dont Know Adelaquaye

Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed great surprise at the assertion by Lt. Col. (rtd.) Gbevlo Lartey not knowing Solomon Adelaquaye, the Director of Sohin Security Services who was arrested in the US for drug trafficking. According to the NPP scribe, it makes the issue more complicated and dangerous for the National Security Coordinator to claim not to know who is in-charge of the Kotoka International Airport. If Gbevlo Lartey claims he would not be able to identify Solomon Adalaquaye because he does not know him, then it reflects how dangerous our security system isif our National Security Coordinator says he does not know those at the helms of affairs as far as security is concerned at the Airport, then is it sad. It cannot be correct that he would not be able to make him out. He should come again, Sir John asserted. In the view of NPP stalwart, the claim by the National Security boss re-enforces his call for an enquiry into the case so as to unravel the myth surrounding the matter. Sir John made the comment in responds to Lt. Col. (rtd.) Gbevlo Larteys denial of his close association with the embattled Managing Director of SOHIN Security, Solomon Adelaquaye who is facing charges related to illicit drugs trade in the US. "Ive never had a conversation with him, the head of National Security claimed, adding that he talked with that guy only once when his security personnel made dubious claims to some properties. Gbevlo Lartey further debunked claims that Mr. Adelaquaye was head of security at the airport saying his company was only responsible for security at peripheral places such as the car park. However, Sir John maintained that he would want to believe the disclosure by Lt. Col. (rtd.) Gbevlo Lartey because it is paints a grim picture of the state of National Security in this country.
