Govt Sided With Amidu In Waterville Case - Amaliba

A member of the legal team for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Amaliba has said the government associated itself with Martin Amidu in fighting to retrieve the judgement debt paid to Waterville at the Supreme Court and would continue to do same with the case involving Isofoton. The Attorney General is in court associating herself with Martin Amidu on the Isofoton case. You cannot go to court if you dont have the facts. Your clients must come and tell you what the facts are before you can go to court, he stated. Speaking on Citi FMs current affairs program, the Big Issue, Abraham Amaliba said, This new Attorney General hasnt got that privilege so what she can do is to associate herself with Martin Amidu and that is how this government has dealt with the matter. On his part, Former Deputy Minister of Education and Sports under the Kufour Administration, O.B. Amoah, has challenged anyone who found any wrongdoing with his actions in relation to the 40 million Euros paid illegally to WaterVille holdings to take him to court. Also speaking on Citi FMs current affairs program the Big Issue, Mr Amoah said he was ready to face anyone who thought he did wrong during the Kufuor Administration regarding the Waterville issue in court. If you read my letter, I said the Minister for Education and Sports does not have any objections to moving to site. After that, I copied all the relevant bodies because I could not have carried it out on my own, he stated. Mr. Amoah further mentioned, If you are saying that this warrants prosecution, then so be it, well go to court if you think that will satisfy you politically by prosecuting O.B. Amoah, I have my defense. If you pick and choose and you dont understand the circumstances and you want to score political points, so be it, he added.
