The Outspoken King Faisal bankroller, Alhaji Karim Gruzah, has called for truce among the sporting populace regarding the Ayews return. Gruzah told the media, at a post- GHALCA President Cup launch, that criticising the �returnees� would not solve matters. He, however, suggested that the sporting media, particularly presenters, should concentrate on the team�s weakness and discuss how it could perform better to ensure a third successive World Cup appearance. The King Faisal chief indicated that Ghana was not there yet so he saw no point in people criticising the Marseille duo and AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng that they were returning due to a possible Black Stars World Cup qualification. �You people should stop criticising the returnees, I hear some presenters saying they are coming back because we are on the brink of qualifying for Brazil 2014. �We have not qualified yet, what is the guarantee that we will qualify in the first place, they didn�t say they have quit the national team, they said they needed a temporary break, If they are back and want to contribute their quota, why not?. We should stop bashing them and concentrate on how we can qualify,� Alhaji said. To Gruzah, the bashing could throw the team into confusion and affect them to a large extent, and has, therefore, advised that the media allowed the coach to use his discretion regarding which players he wanted to use. He advised that Ghana should not make a third appearance by just adding to the numbers, but go past the semi final stage and possibly win the ultimate. That, he pointed out, would require the service of every player who was willing to play so the media should not write some players off. The Ayews announced their temporary break when Ghana returned from last Nations Cup as a result of circumstances that led to their exclusion from the squad. Barely two weeks ago, the duo with their senior sibling, Rahim called on the presidency and after deliberations with President Mahama, Youth and Sports Minister, Hon Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, and FA vice Mr Fred Crentsil, the Marseille players announced their comeback, which had been greeted with mixed reactions.
