The Korle-Bu teaching hospital has announced the suspension of admission of patients to the children emergency ward for the next 48 hours to de-congest the ward. The suspension has become necessary as a result of the relocation of the emergency unit to a smaller place to pave way for the construction of a new emergency ward. In view of these developments, the hospital management wishes to advice operators of other hospitals and private clinics to refer cases that need further management to secondary hospitals first and cases that need advanced management could be referred to Korle Bu.
