Lordina Ladies For John Mahama Congratulate First Lady

Members of Lordina Ladies for John Mahama in the Brong-Ahafo Region have congratulated the First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama, on her recent election as the First Vice President of Organisation of African First Ladies Against HIV and AIDS (OAFLA). A statement issued in Sunyani on Tuesday and signed by Nana Saah Gyamfuah II, Queen mother of Anyima in the Kintampo South District and Founder of the organisation, said: Your election did not come to us as a surprise because of your good works in the country. It said your election epitomizes how much Africa appreciates your selflessness in the effort to fight the spread of the HIV and AIDS menace on the continent. Nana Gyamfuah, who is also the Brong-Ahafo Regional Representative on the Council of State, said even though, you became the First Lady of Ghana some few months ago, your colleagues have already appreciated all you have done to improve the health and lives of the vulnerable, particularly the orphans in Ghana. Your support to the Ghana AIDS Commission as a premier advocate for the UNAIDS Global Plan to reduce mother to child transmission has already been enormous and we have no doubt that your new office will propel you to do even more. The statement pledged its support to the Lordina Foundation to improve the lives of women and the youth.
