Ken Kuranchie Is A Hero Says NPP Serial Callers

After being sentenced to ten days imprisonment by the Supreme Court over contemptuous publication on the on-going hearing of the election petition, serial callers of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have thrown their weight behind the managing editor of the Daily Searchlight Newspaper, describing him as a hero. According to them, Mr. Kuranchie stood for what he believes in and remained firm and absolute even before the Supreme Court, a mark they said only heroes and heroines can achieve. During call-in programmes on Wednesday morning on various radio stations in the capital city, the serial callers were heard loud openly expressing their support for Mr. Kuranchie and said he stood for what he believes in. We are solidly behind you in prayers and believe that God will see you through this troubling time, the NPP serial callers stated. They said the imprisonment of Mr. Kuranchie over the contemptuous publications cannot stop NPP sympathizers from speaking their mind about the happening at the election petition case. While the opposition serial callers were busy defending the jailed Ken Kuranchie, other serial callers of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) were also talking about the arrogance and behaviour displayed before the Supreme Court. if Mr. Kuranchie had shown some remorse about his publications and rendered an unqualified apology before the Supreme Court judges, he may have been pardoned or given a lesser punishment, the NDC serial callers stated.
