Every women knows that the bag she carriers adds to her good looks. A women�s handbag is a fashion statement and an extension of her personality and sense of style. That is why lady�s bags come in all shapes, sizes and colours. Most men, out of curiosity, always want to know what women have in their �big� bags. Some people are of the view that women like having things they do not need, or they compulsively like to put totally unnecessary items in their bags. But Matilda Mensah thinks otherwise. According to her, most women carry a lot of things in their bags because they like to have important things on hand. Most women will tell you that the number one reason they carry so many items in their bags is because they never know when they will need something, and it makes them feel prepared for any situation. When asked the essential things she put in her bag every day, Matilda had this to say: �Realistically, all I need in my bag are my car keys, house keys, cell phone, and purse and lip balm. I am not too much of a makeup person so I really do not have a makeup kit like most women do.� Women also put a lot of stuff in their bags just to fill the space so their bags do not look empty. A big, empty bag is not fashionable, so they make sure every space in the bag is filled. �Stuffing my bag is about completing �the look�,� said Pricilla Asante. Pricilla said she sometimes stuff her big bags with jeans, cloths and even toilet roll. Laughing this off, she added that it is not strange to find toilet roll in a lady�s bags. �In fact, everyone must carry toilet roll in their bags, because you may never know when you will need it badly.� On a normal day, Priscilla�s bag contains makeup bag, two mirrors, a comb, wallet, an umbrella, perfume, nail polish, flat slippers, a digital camera, Ipad and cell phone. These items, she said, were the basic things in every lady�s bags.
