I Would’ve Loved To Have Prof Mills As An Uncle

What would make someone want to associate himself with the dead, particularly when the deceased is in no way related to him? That appears to be the question lingering on the minds of many, after Mike Oquaye Jr., openly wished on radio to have a man in the cast of the former President John Evans Atta Mills as an uncle. According to the one-time NPP Parliamentary aspirant, the third President of the Fourth Republic was a very honest and God fearing man and therefore wished he (President Mills) was a close relative of his. “Prof. Mills is one person I would want as an uncle,” he stated on Citi FM. Touching on his governance style, Mike Oquaye Jr. likened the late President to the “nice guy who did not have the guts to write down the names of talkertives,” when he was “class prefect”. That,, in his view was his greatness flaw as most of his appointees exploited that weakness and made him come across as though he was “in-charge but not taking charge”, he claimed. Lawyer Oquaye was contributing to discussings on the one year observation of the passing away of the late President Mills. President Atta Mills died on July 24, 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital at 2:15pm after he was taken ill.
