Some non-family members of late Professor Atta Mills and the Ghanaian public have appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to order a Presidential inquest into the cause of death of President John Evans Atta Mills, who died on July 24, 2012. Their quest is to investigate the death of President Mills and an autopsy report on the actual cause of his death. The call to investigate his death and the publication of his autopsy report emanated right after his unfortunate death last year. Speaking on Adom FM, outspoken Kwesi Pratt has rubbished the call and reminiscence that no dead Ghanaian President has ever had his postmortem report published in the public domain. According to him, those who matters are the only people who are allowed to demand for the report and not any other individual. �What is the tradition we have here in Ghana when a President dies? I don�t remember anywhere that when Sir Edward Akufo-Addo died, some individuals called for postmortem publicly�I don�t remember that when Dr. Hilla Liman died, his family or the government made available his postmortem. ��When Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah died, there were speculations but no one brought out his postmortem report to the public. We should be very cautious about this call for the postmortem report of the late President (Prof Mills),� he warned.
