I Want To Talk To You On Phone Myself To Thank You, Theodosia Okoh Tells Prez Mahama

Designer of the national flag and a former hockey administrator, Theodosia Okoh, has expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for ordering reversal of a decision by the Chief Executive Officer of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to rename the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Complex to Prof. John Evans Atta Mills Hockey Pitch. Dr Alfred Nii Oko Vanderpuije had last Wednesday renamed the only hockey stadium to commemorate the first anniversary for the death of Prof Atta Mills. But after a national furore against the decision, President Mahama, through Chief of Staff Prosper Bani ordered reversal of that decision and further summoned the AMA boss to the Flagstaff House. A grateful Theodosia Okoh said she was overwhelmed by the Presidents order. I was overwhelmed. Call a tool a tool and not a thing for digging. Good work is done by good people whom God has chosen, she said on TV3 on Friday. The nonagenarian further said: President, I thank you very much that you have brought all of these things going around the hockey pitch to a stop. I am grateful to you because I know God has sent you to come and talk to us. Thank you She ended by virtually pleading for the President's number: If I can get your number I could have talked to you on the phone myself because this one I dont know whether it will get to you or it will be stopped on the way.
