Govt Owes Us Three Times The Amount They Are Claiming We Owe - Zoomlion

Jospong Group of Companies; the leading Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management Company in Ghana including Zoomlion Ghana Limited has indicated that the report being circulated as the GYEEDA report, cannot be the final report submitted to President John Dramani Mahama. According to them unlike the report being circulated, accusing them of owing government huge sums of money, government rather have 2013 arrears to pay us; huge sums of money. The ministerial committee which investigated the rot at the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) cited the Jospong Group of Companies as well as two other companies for corruption and fraud. Lawyer Kwame Gyan, a legal practitioner and director of the company, speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa-Kayi, host of Kokrokoo, described the report as a mere fabrication. He said even though they still dont have a copy of the final report, what is being circulated and discussed on the airwaves cannot be true. We dont owe governmentthey owe us three times the amount they are claiming we owe. They have not even paid us for work done; 2013 We are not able to comment on the report because we dont have a copy but all we are saying is that what is being said on the air waves cannot be a true representation of the actual report. Perhaps they have created a different document because what we are hearing as being leaks from the report cannot be true With reference to Mr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Chief Executive Officer of Jospong Group of Companies, lawyer Gyan bemoaned how Ghanaian entrepreneurs are discouraged and criticized in this country. He said instead of encouraging them to offer employment to the youth and bringing investment to the country, we rather run them down and associate them with corruption. I am worried with the trend of events in this country and how the man (Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Chief Executive Officer of Jospong Group of Companies) is being associated with corruption. The man is doing a genuine business. Majority of what is being said are all fabrications. We have done nothing wrong, lawyer Gyan pointed out.
