A total number of 33 Metropolis, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), have been asked by government to vacate their position.
A statement signed by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Akwasi Oppong Ofosu said the affected MMDCEs are those who have not been re-nominated.
The statement directed the affected MMDCEs to hand over to their respective Regional Ministers with immediate effect.
They are:
ASHANTI REGION:

2. Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah - Atwima-Mponua
3. Daniel Okyeamang Apau - Mampong Municipal
4. Robert Bennett Forkuo - Amansie Central
5. Martha Bruckner - Ejura Sekyedumasi
6. Noah Asante Manu - Bekwai Municpal
BRONG AHAFO REGION:
1. Stephen Lord Oppong - Berekum Municipal
2. J. Atttah-Bediako - Jaman South
3. Alhassan Seidu Harrison - Kintampo North Municpal
4. Yaw Osei Adjei - Wenchi Municipal
CENTRAL REGION:
1. Anthony Egyir Aikins - Cape Coast Metropolitan
2. Peter Kofi Osei-Ashia - Upper Denkyira East
GREATER ACCRA REGION:
1. Rex Daniel Wusah - Dangme East
2. Numo Adinortey Addison - Ashaiman Municipal
3. Robert Kempes Ofosu-Ware - Tema Metropolitan
