The former player and referee is set to become the first female to serve on the technical bench of a Premier League side in Ghana. Ghana premier league side Amidaus Professionals have handed former Fifa referee Mercy Tagoe a spot on their technical bench. Tagoe, who is a former player of the senior national women�s team of Ghana, the Black Queens, has been harbouring a coaching dream even during her days as a top-notch referee. The 35-year-old retired from the refereeing profession last year after an illustrious career. She once won the best referee in Ghana and also officiated at Caf and Fifa organised women�s championships. The Caf License B holder will end up being the first female serving on the bench of a Premier League side in Ghana. Tagoe will be one of the assistant coaches of Amidaus Professionals during the 2013-14 season.
