Meyiwa Unfazed By Fatau Daudas Presence At Orlando Pirates

The Ghanaian number one is yet to make his official debut for the Buccaneers since completing his $500, 000 move from Ashanti Gold in June. Orlando Pirates and Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has told Goal that he is not intimidated by the presence of Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda in the team. The Ghanaian shot-stopper was signed from Ashanti Gold last month to provide much needed competition to Meyiwa, following the departure of Moeneeb Josephs who has since joined Bidvest Wits. He is a very good goalkeeper. He got the experience too, but I am not intimidated by that because we are team-mates and not enemies, Meyiwa told Goal. Meyiwa has cemented his place in Roger de Sas starting line-up, but he is aware that he needs to continue doing well with Dauda patiently waiting for his chance. I am a hard worker and I think my performance has proved that, but I need to continue working hard and also continue doing well if I want to play regularly. Fatau is a great keeper and I know that he is waiting for his chance just like I was waiting for mine, but he will have to fight for the number one jersey, added Meyiwa.
