Eric Bekoe: Ghanaians Retire Their Players PrematurelyIt Is Not Fair

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ghana Black Stars Striker Eric Bekoe has express worried about the way and manner the media as well as soccer fanatics forced Ghanaian players to end their profession prematurely. Bekoe dismissed claims that his career was hit by a bad knee injury and has failed to realize his huge potential as a clinical finisher due to reported extensive spells on the sidelines through injury. It was purported that the former Ghana Premier League goal King had his contract with Egyptian club Petrojet terminated over speculated concerns with his fitness. But speaking on Happy FM, the 27-year-old striker debunks the allegation and urges his supporters to treat such erroneous publication as deceitful. If anyone will say some Ghanaian players perform awfully oversea, I will say I am not one of such players because for all you know, when I went to Egypt, I went and printed my name boldly in capital letters. Though injury is part of our profession (Football), that doesn't mean I perform horribly in Egypt as speculated he said In Ghana here, we do retire our players immaturelywhich is not helping. At the end of the day, someone will say there is no maturity in the Ghana league; meanwhile we the same people are fading out stars (Players) out he opined However, Bekoe advise that If a player returns home from abroad to play the local league, it doesn't mean the player is dwindling.
