Nana Konadu Heaps Praises On Nana Akufo Addo...It Is A "Noble Act"

Scores of people have been paying their respects and pouring immeasurable accolades on Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, 2012 Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after he conceded defeat following the Supreme Court ruling on the election petition case. The showering of praise have known no stopping, irrespective of the fact that the NPP flagbearer indicated that he was not happy with the ruling, but accepts it for the sake of peace. Former First Lady and founder of the National Democratic Party (NDP), is the latest distinguished person to pay a courtesy call on Nana Akufo Addo, describing his action as �noble�. She commended him for his bravery in accepting the ruling as well as choosing not to seek a review of the judgment. "You have helped to open our eyes about certain issues we did not know. I think with the judgment, Nana, you and other lawyers must explain the implications of the judgment to us. You have shown to the world that going to court well prepared gives you a plus..." she said. Said Djinnit, a representative of Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General, also called on Nana Akufo to congratulate him for accepting the ruling. On his part, Nana Akufo Addo welcomed all the messages and indicated that the peace in the country is paramount and so there is the need to maintain it. He was appreciative of the fact that Ghanaian are living in harmony after the verdict.
