Tsatsu Is Being Vilified Because Ghanaians Dont Understand Him When He Speaks His Impeccable Queens Language

Tsatsu Tsikata, Lawyer for the Third Respondent in the just ended election petition trial, has come under a barrage of condemnation for accusing Justice Anin-Yeboah, one of the nine Supreme Court Judges who sat on the case, of allowing his political affiliations to cloud his judgment. His remarks have been described as unsavory by the general public especially coming from an astute lawyer who is supposed to know better and to jealously guard the independence and sanctity of the judiciary. Tsatsu Tsikata, singled out Justice Annin-Yeboah for criticism and accused him of bias in a TV interview programme. To him, the Supreme Court Judge was consistent in his ruling against the respondents in the landmark case challenging the 2012 General elections because he felt a certain level of responsibility and allegiance to ex-president John Kufuor who appointed him to the position of the Supreme Court. However, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDCs) Communications Team has come out to strongly defend the renowned Lawyer. Ruth Seddoh claims the NDC lawyer has been misunderstood by many because of his impeccable command over the Queens language. We are here talking about Tsatsu Tsikata but you know, he speaks the Queens language so well many Ghanaians do not understand him. I am talking about the NPPs inability to understand what he said, she said. The NDC communicator further explained she came to that conclusion after following the NPPs commentaries on proceedings over the eight month period the case travelled. All these while, until the media decided not to interview the two general secretaries on the issues of the Supreme Court, I listened with keen interest to the take of Sir John on events and it is totally different from what Tsatsu had said in court. I dont blame him. He does not understand the English Tsatsu speaks, Ruth Seddoh stated on Adom FM.
