Cabinet Approves Anti-corruption Bill To Check Corrupt Public Officials

Cabinet has approved an anti-corruption bill also known as the Conduct of Public Officers' Bill to provide coherent and harmonized anti-corruption legislation. Addressing the media at the Flagstaff House, the Deputy Minister of Information, Felix Kwakye Ofosu disclosed that the current administration is prepared to put an end to corruption under the new approved bill. The approved bill creates room for Ghanaians to report public officials who they suspect are engaged in nefarious acts. The bill incorporates the Criminal Offences Act of 1960, Act 29, The Financial Administration Act of 2003, Act 654, The Public Procurement Act of 2003, Act 663, The Internal Audit Agency Act 2003, Act 658 and the Audit Service Act 2000, Act 584.
