A group calling itself concerned citizens of Adenta, has issued a strong warning to the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, over some alleged underhand dealings. The deals, the group believe are being masterminded by the MP, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairman, Alhaji Baba Zakaria Abdullah, and Dr. Desmond Nii Aryee-Boi, the Presiding Member, Adenta Municipal Assembly. At a news conference on Monday in Accra, the group called on higher authorities concerned to bring the MP and his allies to order. Alhaji Asumah Zaid Issah, the chairman of the group, noted that the MP is putting in all measures for the confirmation of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Kakra Vanlare, not to come off in order to bring in someone who would help in amassing wealth for himself, in this case the constituency chairman. �We are reliably informed that the MP is promoting the course of the NDC constituency chairman to be re-nominated for the MCE and we believe that it will be a disaster if he is nominated since the MP want him to be a poodle in order to take control of the assembly, Hon. Nii Ashie Moore has an agenda to parade only allies who owe allegiance to him so that he will have the power to make everybody kowtow to his diabolical plans. It is on record that the MP has connived with the NDC constituency Chairman to denigrate other executives of the constituency, the chiefs and elders of the Municipality which clearly shows the desperation he has for power in order to perpetuate his agenda�, the group underscored. The group however, sought to know if the honorable MP is the same person by name Justice Nana Kofi Owusu and if so what necessitated the change of name. They also wanted to know if Hon Ashie Moore was jailed in Belgium, for what reason, if he ever stabbed a colleague during his days at Nungua Secondary School, why he was sacked as Regional Coordinator of the National Service Secretariat, and why the late President Mills banned him from entering the castle. According to the group there are so many things which seem not to be in right order and called on the institutions responsible for monitoring MP�s conduct to investigate the background of Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore. The Adenta concerned citizens expressed displeasure about the leadership of Dr Desmond Nii Aryee-Boi, presiding member of the assembly. Hon. Kakra Vanlare, they believe has become the toast of many due to the construction of a 30 unit office accommodation block at the Adenta Municipal Assembly. They claim during her tenure the municipality has seen so much improvement in developmental projects ranging from classroom blocks, a community clinic with nurses� quarters, a health centre and toilet facilities. They have therefore asked Hon Ashie Moore, to tread cautiously since his activities are only stalling development in the municipality.
