Football is finally back on Viasat1! English Premier League fans in Ghana will be happy to hear that Viasat1 has acquired the rights to broadcast LIVE matches of the 2013-14 season.
Viasat1 will telecast one LIVE match every Saturday and highlights of other matches once a week.
With football now being one of TV�s most desirable properties in the country, there could be no better time to tap into it. Viasat1 kicks off the coverage on Saturday, 14th September 2013 at 2:00pm.
CEO of Viasat1, Charlotte Gustavsson, who confirms the rights acquisition, says �We want to give our viewers the best � the best of telenovelas; the best of series; and the best of movies.
And we have now decided to reclaim the �best of football� as well. We have really missed football this past year since we lost Champions League. Football is after all, the number one sport in the world.�
The CEO is convinced that LIVE telecast of the EPL matches in addition to already running programmes like The Beautiful Game, Sports Xtra and Football 360, will appeal to sports lovers, which will give Viasat1 an advantage.
The 2013-14 English Premier League season is getting more exciting ever with Jose Mourinho�s return to Chelsea and David Moyes handling affairs at Old Trafford as Manchester United manager.
