Rev. Osei Kofi Warns Black Stars: Egypt Can Be Intimidating

Ghana football legend and former Black Stars player, Reverend Osei Kofi says he has warned the Black Stars to be watchful of Egypt ahead of their crucial FIFA World Cup play-off encounter. According to him, regardless of a warm reception offered the Egyptians in the first leg of the play-off, they will never opt for that when Ghana visit them for the second leg. He indicated that the Egyptians are noted for ill-treatment when it comes to any competitive football. With the Arabs (Egyptians) it will be a worry for us that they are coming here first. Because whether you treat them fairly or not, they will cheat you in their home grounds. They did the same thing to us some years back, he said. After Ghana was drawn against Egypt in the play-off round of qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, many football pundits have expressed worried and doubt about Ghanas participation in Brazil 2014 after performing impressively in South Africa 2010. But Rev. Osei Kofi also known as the Dribbling Magician is certain that if Ghana prepare adequately, booking a place in Brazil will be easier than expected. If we prepare very well and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) support Coach Kwesi Appiah, then I think we will make it to Brazil. Much concentration should be on the Black Stars for now but our first home much will determine whether or not we will be in Brazil 2014, he told Adom FM Sports.
