Asamoah Gyan Is A HeadacheEgyptian Defender

Egyptian international and Hull City defender Ahmed El Mohamady has heaped praises on Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan, describing him as a headache to defenders. Despite the praise, he considered his sides clash with Ghana as a big relief, taking into consideration their rich record against their West African opponents. Citing what transpired in the grand finale of Angola 2010 when the Pharaohs pipped the Black Stars 1-0 to buttress his point, he said Egypt would beat Ghana to the World Cup slot. He however believed Gyan would pose a real threat to his side in the encounters. Asamoah is really special. Ive known him since that final in Angola. Hes a true headache to all defenders. And then I got to know him more when we played together at Sunderland, he said. Hes very smart and I hope Wael Gomaa can handle him well in both games. Hes definitely one of the best on the team and the coach depends on him a lot; so does the entire squad. He is their number one striker. Hopefully we can focus enough to deal with the matches in the right way, he said on sport360.com Gyan, the countrys current top scorer, since arriving in oil rich country United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Sunderland, has emerged the Arab leagues top scorer for two consecutive seasons. The Al-Ain forward came from the bench to rescue Ghana from two goals down with a brace when Ghana clashed with Turkey in a friendly a few weeks ago in Istanbul. Meanwhile, it has emerged that the Egyptians would be starting a five-day camping in Dubai on October 9 ahead of the epic first leg World Cup play-off in Ghana.
