Ghana Is A Better Side Than Egypt - Andre Ayew

Ghana international, Andre Dede Ayew, says the Black Stars is a better side than World Cup qualifying play-off opponent, Egypt. The midfielder in an interview with Kumasi-based Kessben FM noted that, the Pharaohs will not be a walkover for the Black Stars since they have dominated African football over the past years wining the AFCON several times. He added that, despite the mixture of youth and experienced players in the Egyptian squad, Ghana has what it takes to participate in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Andre Ayew who recently joined the Black Star from a break is very optimistic the Stars will put up a brilliant performance to secure a ticket to Brazil. They have a lot of new players, the team has changed, a lot of the old players are old and they have a lot of experience, confidence in themselves and they want to go to the World Cup but we are Ghana. I believe we are a better side and we need to make it to the World Cup. I think its going to be a difficult game. Egypt is a very good side but we have the quality to win. This fixture gives us good memories. We lost to Egypt in the 2010 Nations Cup final in Angola and we won the 2009 World Youth Cup in Egypt so I believe that we need to take them very seriously, have confidence in ourselves and I believe that we can do something good over there, he said.
