Ahorlu's brilliance earn Lions a point

Visiting Hearts of Lions fought gallantly to force a point off King Faisal in their goalless drawn game in their 2013/2014 Premier League match day two clash at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday. The homers, having lost their opening league match commenced on a vigorous note, pinning down the visitors to their own half with series of attacks. Lions' experienced goalkeeper Stephen Ahorlu saved the visitors from humiliation for most part of the first half, preventing the ferocious Faisal attack from hitting target. The former Black Stars' goalie demonstrated sheer bravado to prevent Faisal's Sulley Mohammed, Sadat Wahab and Prince Boateng from scoring. After recess, Lions' Isaac Osae was gifted a chance in the 47th minute but his right foot volley missed target narrowly and ten minutes on, he again squandered a glorious opportunity with only the goalkeeper to beat. Faisal took control of the game there on, piled up pressure on their opponents and came close to scoring but Ahorlu's timely saves in the 75th, 81st and 90th minutes denied them from snatching the three maximum points.
