Rahim Ayew �99 Percent� Certain of Joining Kotoko

Ghana midfielder Rahim Ayew says he is 99% certain of joining defending League champions Asante Kotoko. The 25-year-old completed a successful medical with the Kumasi-based side on Thursday. GHANAsoccernet.com broke the news about his move to the Porcupine Warriors where he is expected to put pen-to-paper to a long term deal after concluding financial details. The first son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele has revealed he is almost certain to join the two-time African champions. �I came to Kotoko for medical and everything went fine. I can say that I�m 99% through in joining Kotoko,� Ayew said �I am professional and so if a big club like Kotoko want your services and your contend with the contract, why not? �I feel proud to be part of this family. They have amazing fans and I will do my best for the team. �They have quality players who have held the blocks over the years. I am also coming on board to contribute my quota to the success of the club. �There is the CAF Champions League next year which is a huge platfotm for every player. We hope to make a huge impact and make the fans happy.� The versatile player has been a free agent since leaving Belgian side SK Lierse at the end of last season. He has Ghana Premier League experience after a successful debut season with relegated Eleven Wise in the 2008/2009 season. The former Ghana Under-20 is making a return to the local scene after an unsuccessful spell abroad.
