We Cant "Eat, Drink, Sleep, Play, Sing, Everyday" About CorruptionTheres A Nation To Build

In as much as one would have any misgivings with the issues of corruption raised in the GYEEDA report, former Member of Parliament for the Adentan constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cautioned against over-stretching the issue. According to Hon Kojo Adu Asare, Ghanaians we should be mindful of the fact that there is a nation to be built and minimize the incessant reference to corruption and GYEEDA. if you listen to the content of the Gyeeda report and its recommendations, I think some of those issues can trigger some anger but for me, this is part of governance though, but we dont have to pitch camps there and sleep. Eat, drink, sleep, play, dance, sing, everyday in that area because there is a nation to build. We cannot moan GYEEDA every day, he said. The former MP stressed that he is not downplaying the need for perceived cases of corruption to be investigated and offenders punished, but that the country must move back to the agenda of nation-building at some point. Hon. Adu Asare made these comments on Asempa Fm during a panel discussion on reports of corruption cases on the ascendancy in the country.
