Hearts Of Oak Drop Points In Accra

Accra Hearts of Oak dropped vital points in the tenth week league game when they were held one all by King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. Hearts who were hoping to grab the maximum points at stake to keep their chase on leaders, Kotoko had to come down from a goal deficit to cancel a 7th minute lead by King Faisal. Fiasal, broke off from a failed attack by Hearts, moved deep into the vital area for Sulley Mohamed to deliver a grounder that beat goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy. Hearts struggled to put their game together, but steadily warmed themselves into the game and succeeded in securing the equaliser through Romeo Agban, when he capitalised on a melee to connect Paul Acquahs header into the area of Faisal. Hearts had much of the second half and could have won the day but Faisals goalkeeper Ibrahim Iddrisu made two great saves in the 66th and 67th minute to deny them. Hearts dominated the rest of the half, but failed to overcome the resilience of the visitors. The results however pushed the phobians back to the second spot of the league log following the defeat of Ashgold by New Edubiase, but will trail Kotoko by four points.
