Give Us 2 Sharp Strikers Nyaho Tamakloe Charges Polo

Accra Hearts of Oak Board Member Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has charged newly-appointed coach Mohammed Polo to produce two sharp strikers by the close of the season. Speaking at the unveiling of the coach in Accra yesterday, he mentioned that Polo has what it takes to achieve that objective. He revealed that the absence of forwards in the local league had affected the senior national soccer side. These days we dont have strikers and that has affected even the Black Stars. We have only one striker in the country and that is Asamoah Gyan. He is human and can fall sick at one point or the other. Give us sharp strikers at the end of the season. Football hasnt changed. What we need is somebody to teach the boys how to score, and Polo has that quality. If the players will listen to him they will excel. I want to give you one advice and that is be calm with the boys but dont forget to use the disciplinary rod when necessary, he told Polo. The former Ghana international, nick-named the dribbling magician, replaces David Duncan, who was axed by the clubs board after a series of meetings. Polo was officially introduced to the playing body last Tuesday evening after training and will be in charge when Hearts travel to Cape Coast to battle Nana Aidoos Ebusua Dwarfs this weekend when the league bounces back. Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Hearts of Oak Neil Armstrong Mortagbe has hinted that the board has engaged supporters of the club, who until recently protested for the retention of coach Duncan, and indications were that they have recovered from the setback.
