President Mahama Celebrates Birthday At Assin Juaben

President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday promised to upgrade the health post in Assin Nyankumasi and construct a new clinic at Assin Juaben, both in the Assin South District of the Central Region. He said his administration would also construct a kindergarten to cater for the pre- education needs of the children in the community. President Mahama said this when he celebrated his 55th birthday party with children of Assin Juaben. This is the second time the President is joining the community to celebrate his birthday. "My celebration with you last year inspired me to come back to you this year, with reference to the fact that I had to take time off my campaigns to de-stress in this community that has become my second home." President Mahama who was accompanied by First Lady Lordina Mahama, Mr Prosper Douglas Bani, Chief of Staff donated assorted drinks, clothing, and footwear to the children. He said he would adopt Assin Juaben as his second home, by constructing a small house to enable him visit and frequently interact with the people. A gargantuan birthday cake that was presented to President Mahama was shared among the school children that graced the occasion. The event was climaxed with series of dances that won the admiration of the President.
