Relatives of the 43-year- old woman allegedly killed and buried secretly by her husband and three others at Laklevikope, near Denu in June are appealing to the police to quicken investigations into the case. Miss Felicia Alorwoyi, a sibling of the deceased, Agbodugbe Alorwoyi who spoke to the GNA, expressed worry at the seemingly slow pace of the investigations. She said the expected exhumation of the body in October, as part of the investigations, was still pending. Felicia Alorwoyi said the delay was causing the family anxiety and prolonging their anger and pain. A police source however said investigations were going on steadily. The source said the police homicide team from Accra was being expected for the exhumation of the body and that while waiting a 24-hour police guard had been maintained at the site suspected to be holding the body.Hunor Tsani Baniba, 42, alias Togbi Akpogada Gidzi, the fetish-priest husband of the deceased, and accomplices Zikpi Agbahode, 30, Ahorlu Eklo, 22 and Mawuli Agbashi, 19, were picked up on suspicion of murdering the deceased. All four are in custody in Hoassisting in investigations. The suspects had to be moved to Ho to avoid being lynched by an angry crowd at the Aflao Police Station where they wereheld. Initial investigations, the police said, showed that the suspects stole someone�s rum and denied it. The deceased advised them to own up for a peaceful settlement of the case. The position of the deceased resulted into a quarrel between her and husband, Hunor Baniba. The deceased vacated her Laklevikope matrimonial home where she lived with Baniba (husband) alongside two other rivals. Hunor Baniba and his accomplices feared the deceased could expose them and therefore planned to eliminate her. One evening in June, Hunor Baniba lured the deceased back to the house for a talk. While leading her back to her new abode in the area, Baniba stabbed her with a kitchen knife in the neck, killing her instantly while Agbahode, Eklo and Agbashi acted as sentries and later helped in collecting the blood into a bowl. They then severed her head, which they buried in one of the three rooms in the mud house, erected an idol over it and the main body interned elsewhere. The source said Hunor Baniba sent off Eklo and Agbashi to Yeji in the Brong Ahafo Region to engage in fishing as he thought they were faint-hearted and could expose him. In Yeji the two claimed they were haunted by Agbodugbe�s ghost and they confessed to their landlord, who sent them to the police station at Yeji, where investigations started, leading to the arrest of Hunor Baniba and Agbahodey.
