FAO Signs Agreement To Carry Out Two Government Projects

The Food and Agriculture Organisation has supported the Ghana Statistical Service and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture with $ 370,000 from its Technical Cooperation Programme, to carry out two projects by government. The projects are the implementation of the preparatory phase of the Agricultural Census of Ghana and Empowering Cassava value Chain Actors to enhance incomes, Employment and Food Security. At the signing ceremony in Accra, the FAO country representative, Dr Lamoudia Thiombiano, said the move is to stimulate significant investment and improve livelihood within the Agricultural Sector.
