The Energy Commission in collaboration with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority and the Ministry of Science and Environment has seized 57 containers of used refrigerators imported into the country. The Executive Director of the Commission, Dr Alfred Ofosu Ahenkorah who disclosed this to Radio Ghana said more than 2,000 used refrigerators which were imported have been confiscated while 4,000 refrigerators replaced since the ban on the importation of used refrigerators came into force.
