Corruption Is Nothing But Mass Murder - Prez Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama was on Tuesday; the seventh day of 2013, subjected to a barrage of questions from journalists at the Flagstaff House. Various questions were thrown at him including corruption; a canker which every government tries to eradicate. Answering a question on corruption during an interaction with journalists to mark his one year in office, President Mahama said corruption amounts to nothing but �mass murder�. According to him, it is one of the issues that deprive government of resources needed to make life comfortable for Ghanaians; hence the need to fight it. He reiterated his commitment to fight corruption and called for the support of all and sundry to eradicate the canker. He also added that he receives report from the Attorney-General on efforts being made to retrieve money paid to service providers under the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) as well as the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) and urged Ghanaians to exercise patience, adding monies that have gone to the wrong places will be retrieved. �Very soon you will see some action being taken on the matter. We will take measures to ensure that monies belonging to the good people of Ghana are not squandered,� President Mahama opined.
